Assistant Womens Coach
Michaela Allen-Gullion is Cree Métis born in Calgary Alberta. Her First Nations are Swan River in Treaty 8 and Flying Dust in Treaty 6 territory, on her Dad’s side she is from English and Italian decent. Michaela has an extensive basketball background. Beginning at the age of 9 years old she has achieved many accomplishments throughout her career thus far. Placing 3rd in the 2010 North American Indigenous games at 14 years old Michaela began connecting to her routes as an Indigenous athlete. Playing all over Canada and the United States in all Indigenous tournaments, Michaela has been exposed to a variety of Indigenous lands and cultures all over Turtle Island. Michaela also coaches in the Indigenous communities around Alberta, participating in the most recent North American Indigenous Games in 2023 as the U19 Girls assistant coach. Graduating from Olds College in 2020 with a Business Sports Management Diploma, Michaela was the starting point guard for the Olds College Broncos where she and her team won the College’s only Canadian National Championship in her 2018/2019 season. She then continued her basketball career playing professionally in Australia in 2022 and most recently came back from playing in Germany for the 2024 season.
